I've been working on the same issue for some time now, and unfortunately haven't had any luck with help from my fellow EE members.so this problem must be one heck of a doozy! I'm trying to go back and start over, and one thing i wanted to try was to activate the 'Office Sharepoint Server Publishing Infrastructure' on a new 'Team Site' site collection. I tried creating a 'Collaboration Portal', however it did not work because of the error 'The office sharepoint server standard web application features feature must be activated at the web application level before this feature can be activated'. Well, that feature IS activated at the web application level, but i figured i'd try and do it with stsadmin. However, i was curious if anyone knew what the feature was called in stsadmin? I haven't been able to find anything on MSDN or TechNet, Google, or Bing, so I'm wondering if it's even possible to do from stsadm tool. May 26, 2010. APPLIES TO: SharePoint Foundation 2010 and SharePoint Server 2010. The steps below show how to activate or deactivate site collection features or Web Application features for PM Central in SharePoint 2010. You must have Full Control permissions to perform these steps. Activating Site Collection. Jan 11, 2017. The feature being activated is a Site scoped feature which has a dependency on a Site Collection scoped feature which has not been activated. Please activate the following feature before trying again: SharePoint Server Publishing Infrastructure f6924d36-2fa8-4f0b-b16d-fa. Stsadm -o activatefeature -name PublishingResources -url returns 'The office sharepoint server standard web application features feature must be activated at the web application level before this feature can be activated'. Stsadm -o activatefeature -name 'office sharepoint server standard web application features' -url returns 'Failed to find the XML file at location '12 Template Features offi ce sharepoint server standard web application features feature.xml' because I obviously put in the wrong information for the feature. However, checking C: Program Files Common Files Microsoft Shared Web Server Extensions 12 TEMPLATE FEA TURES, I don't see that feature located anywhere in there. Can someone help? MeIMc: If i go to Central Administration > Manage Web Application Features > (Select my web application, there are 4 total) > then yes, it is set as Active. There are four features active in the web application. • Office Server Enterprise Search • Office Server Site Search • Office SharePoint Server Enterprise Web application features • Office SharePoint Server Standard Web application features The one in bold at the bottom is what OSS Publishing Infrastructure is telling me that it needs activated.yet it already IS activated. Then, I can go to my web site > Site Actions > Site Settings > Site Collection Features. Got it to work with the following commands. Apparently, I was either using them in the wrong order, or perhaps missed a few (publishingresources). Stsadm -o activatefeature -filename publishing feature.xml -url -force stsadm -o activatefeature -filename publishingresources feature.xml -url -force stsadm -o activatefeature -filename publishingSite feature.xml -url -force stsadm -o activatefeature -filename publishingweb feature.xml -url -force stsadm -o activatefeature -filename publishinglayouts feature.xml -url -force stsadm -o activatefeature -filename navigation feature.xml -url -force stsadm -o execadmsvcjobs Select all.
